Families, Children & Youth Ministry Facilitator

Reports To: Ministry Wellbeing Coordinator

Are you passionate about nurturing vibrant, inclusive ministry environments for families, children, and youth? The Anglican Diocese of Adelaide is seeking a dynamic Families, Children & Youth Ministry Facilitator to champion and grow ministry initiatives across our parishes and communities.

About the Role:

This vital role promotes and supports the development of family, children, and youth ministries within the Diocese. You’ll work collaboratively with clergy, lay leaders, chaplains, and diocesan staff to foster community connections, advocate for youth, and align ministry efforts with the Diocesan Vision.

Key responsibilities:

– Support and grow family, children, and youth ministries in parishes.

– Survey current ministries and identify opportunities for development.

– Build collaboration across new and existing initiatives.

– Advocate for ministry needs in church and school communities.

– Represent youth perspectives within diocesan structures.

– Facilitate training, pastoral care, and resource sharing for ministry volunteers.

– Promote safe ministry practices and guidelines.

– Prepare regular reports and present to governing bodies

About you:

– Qualifications or experience in Pastoral Care, Early Childhood Education, Youth Work, Theology, or similar.

– A mature Christian faith and active involvement in a Christian community.

– Proven leadership in children and youth ministry within a church context.

– A passion for safe, inclusive ministry environments.

– Strong teamwork and leadership skills.

– Experience working with and motivating volunteers.

Additional Requirements

– Safe Ministry clearance (or willingness to obtain).

– First Aid and Mental Health First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

– Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

– Willingness to travel intra/interstate.

– Current driver’s license.

– Based at the Synod Office (located in North Adelaide) with regular off-site work
